SRINAGAR, November 11, 2025 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday chaired a high-level security review meeting in Srinagar to assess the current security scenario and operational preparedness across Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking to X, the LG said, “Chaired a high-level security review meeting in Srinagar, earlier today.”
The meeting comes close on the heels of heightened national security concerns, following the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station and the recent recovery of explosives and arms from a terror module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad and Ansar Ghazwatul Hind.
Top officials including Chandrakar Bharti (Secretary, Home Department), Nalin Prabhat (DGP J&K), S.J.M. Gillani (Special DGP), Nitish Kumar (ADGP CID), and V.K. Birdi (IGP Kashmir Zone) were present during the meeting.
Sources said discussions focused on counter-terror operations, intelligence coordination, and tightening of security grids ahead of the winter season and upcoming events.
The LG emphasized maintaining high alertness and seamless coordination among agencies to ensure peace and stability in the Union Territory.
