Srinagar, November 13, 2025 : The Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against two individuals accused of cheating job aspirants by promising them government employment in exchange for money.
Officials said the chargesheet, linked to FIR No. 19/2023, was submitted before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kulgam under Sections 419, 420, and 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC).
The case began after victims alleged that the accused defrauded them under the guise of providing government jobs. Investigation revealed that one of the accused even impersonated a Kashmiri migrant to win the victims’ trust and facilitate the scam.
The Crime Branch said evidence confirmed the accused were involved in criminal conspiracy and cheating by personation. It reaffirmed its resolve to bring fraudsters to justice and urged citizens to remain vigilant against fake job rackets.
