Srinagar, March 3, 2026 : Jammu and Kashmir Minister Sakina Itoo on Tuesday announced that all schools and colleges across the Kashmir Division will remain closed till March 7, 2026.

The announcement was made through her official post on X, stating:
“All schools and colleges of Kashmir Division to remain closed till 7th of March 2026.”

Precautionary Measure

The decision has been taken as a precautionary step amid the prevailing situation, with authorities prioritizing the safety and well-being of students, teaching staff, and non-teaching employees.

Further Updates Awaited

Officials said that updates regarding the reopening of educational institutions will be communicated in due course. Students, parents, and faculty members have been advised to rely only on official sources for verified information.
