JAMMU, March 4, 2026 : The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Rising Star Corps, Lt Gen Rajan Sharawat, on Wednesday reviewed the operational preparedness of troops deployed in the Mamun sector.
The Mamun sector, headquartered at Pathankot, oversees operational areas of the twin border districts of Samba and Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to PRO Defence Jammu, the GOC assessed the readiness levels and ongoing deployment strategies during his visit.
Troops Commended
Lt Gen Sharawat lauded the troops for their professionalism, high morale, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation.
The review comes amid heightened vigilance along border areas, with security forces maintaining strong operational readiness to counter any emerging threats.
