Udhampur, March 31, 2026 : At least seven people were injured after a passenger auto met with an accident at Kallaser Morh in Chenani area of Udhampur on Tuesday.
Officials said that five of the injured were referred to Government Medical College Udhampur for advanced treatment. The referred patients include individuals aged 16, 26, 90, 66, and 35 years, hailing from Gharian Kallan, Nagulta, and Kallaser.
Two other passengers — Soni Devi (17) and Shavli Devi (19) — sustained minor injuries and were treated on the spot.
Soon after the accident, police and local authorities rushed to the scene, ensuring prompt rescue and medical assistance. Officials confirmed that the condition of the referred patients is stable.
An investigation has been initiated to ascertain the cause of the accident.
