NEW DELHI, April 3, 2026 : Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, on Friday said that Ayodhya is not just a geographical location but a powerful symbol of India’s cultural and civilisational continuity, asserting that the holy city has the potential to emerge as a global centre of India’s soft power.
Addressing the Ayodhya Parv 2026 held at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) in New Delhi, Sinha highlighted the importance of preserving cultural roots for national growth.
Ayodhya as Cultural and Global Symbol
Sinha described Ayodhya as a vital pillar of India’s global recognition, economic strength, and cultural heritage. He stressed that no nation can progress without nurturing its roots, adding that Ayodhya embodies the essence of India’s ancient traditions and values.
He further emphasized that the city can act as a global beacon of India’s cultural richness, spreading its ethos and traditions across the world.
Relevance of Lord Ram’s Ideals
Referring to the teachings of Lord Ram, the Lieutenant Governor said that in times of global uncertainty, values such as amity, sacrifice, and shared prosperity are more relevant than ever.

Jaipur May Host Future Event
Speaking at the event, Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari proposed that a future edition of Ayodhya Parv could be hosted in Jaipur as part of celebrations marking 300 years of the city.
