Samba, April 5, 2026 : Security forces on Sunday launched a massive search operation in a village in Samba following reports of suspicious movement by unidentified individuals.
Suspicious Activity Spotted
A local resident from Bedh Khad in the Darui area reported seeing three unidentified persons, one of whom was carrying a heavy backpack, moving along a dried stream under the cover of darkness.
Though no weapons were visibly seen, the movement raised suspicion of possible terrorist presence, prompting immediate action.
Joint Operation by Forces
Acting swiftly, the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Special Operations Group (SOG), along with the Army and paramilitary forces, launched a coordinated search operation in the area.
Search Ongoing
Officials confirmed that the operation is currently underway in the village and adjoining areas, but no contact has been established with the suspects so far.
Security forces are maintaining high alert and conducting thorough combing operations to trace the individuals.
