JAMMU, April 14, 2026 : In a tragic incident, a couple from Madhya Pradesh lost their lives after their motorcycle collided with a truck near the Gangyal bypass in Jammu on Tuesday, officials said.
The deceased have been identified as Bal Krishan (45) and his wife Anita (40), natives of Chhatarpur. The couple was travelling with their 12-year-old son when the accident occurred.
According to officials, the impact of the collision was severe, resulting in the couple’s death on the spot. Their bodies were later shifted to Government Medical College Jammu for postmortem examination.
The injured minor was promptly rescued and is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Authorities have taken cognizance of the incident, and further investigation into the circumstances of the accident is underway.
