According to officials, the case dates back to January 14, 2026, when a police team from Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station apprehended Arun Singh, a resident of Rajeev Nagar, Narwal, Jammu, and allegedly recovered heroin from his possession during checking operations.
Following the seizure, police registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station and launched a detailed investigation into the drug network and financial links connected to the accused.
During the course of investigation, police traced assets allegedly acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking. Acting under provisions of the NDPS Act, authorities attached a Chandigarh-based property valued at around ₹93 lakh as part of efforts to dismantle the financial backbone of narcotics syndicates.
Officials stated that the crackdown reflects J&K Police’s continued commitment to combating drug abuse and targeting illegal properties generated through narcotics trade. Further investigation in the case is underway.
