Udhampur, May 29, 2026 : In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening policing, enhancing operational efficiency and improving law and order management across the district, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Udhampur has ordered the transfer and posting of seven police officers with immediate effect.
According to an official order issued by the District Police Headquarters (DPHQ) Udhampur, several Inspectors and Police Sub-Inspectors have been assigned new responsibilities at important police stations and police posts across the district.
Under the reshuffle, Inspector Purshotam Kumar has been transferred from Police Station Rehmbal and posted as Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Ramnagar.
Inspector Nishant Gupta, who was serving in District Police Lines (DPL) Udhampur, has been appointed as SHO Police Station Chenani.
Inspector Parvez Sajad has been posted as SHO Police Station Udhampur from DPL Udhampur, while Inspector Sumit Magotra has been shifted from DPL Udhampur and assigned charge as SHO Police Station Rehmbal.
Among the Police Sub-Inspectors, PSI Manveer Singh has been transferred from Police Station Ramnagar to Police Station Udhampur.
PSI Varun Sharma has been posted as Incharge Police Post Battal Ballian from Police Station Udhampur, whereas PSI Ravinder Kumar has been shifted from Police Post Battal Ballian to Police Station Udhampur.
The order further stated that Inspector Parvez Sajad will formally assume charge as SHO Police Station Udhampur after the relieving of Abhijeet Sirohi, IPS, who is presently holding the post.
All transferred officers have been directed to report at their new places of posting immediately to ensure smooth implementation of the reshuffle order.
The administrative changes have been circulated among supervisory officers and concerned officials for necessary compliance and implementation.
Officials said the reshuffle has been carried out to strengthen policing arrangements and improve administrative efficiency at key police establishments in the district.
