SRINAGAR, July 09, 2026: Senior Judges of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on Thursday conducted an on-site inspection of the upcoming High Court Complex in Srinagar, reviewing the progress of construction and directing officials to ensure the project is completed on time without compromising on quality.
The inspection was led by Justice Sanjay Dhar, Chairman of the Building and Infrastructure Committee, along with Justice Rahul Bharti, Justice Moksha Khajuria Kazmi, Member of the Building and Infrastructure Committee, and Justice Shahzad Azeem.
During the visit, the Executive Engineer, R&B Project Division-I Srinagar, presented a comprehensive update on the status of the project. The presentation highlighted the construction milestones achieved so far, the current phase of development, and the works planned for the coming months as part of the ambitious judicial infrastructure project.
The Judges carried out a detailed inspection of the construction site, assessing various components of the ongoing work. They emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum in execution and instructed the concerned authorities and executing agencies to accelerate the pace of construction to meet the stipulated timelines.
While stressing the need for expeditious completion, the Judges also underscored that quality should remain the foremost priority. They directed officials to strictly adhere to the highest standards of workmanship, ensuring that the new High Court Complex is developed as a modern, durable, and efficient judicial facility capable of meeting future requirements.
The visit reflects the High Court’s continued focus on strengthening judicial infrastructure and ensuring that major public projects are executed efficiently and in accordance with prescribed standards.
Accompanying the Judges during the inspection were Registrar Judicial, Srinagar, Joint Registrar Judicial, Srinagar, Registrar Infrastructure, along with senior officers of the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department, who reviewed the progress and discussed the roadmap for the remaining phases of construction.
