JAMMU, July 25, 2026 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has enhanced the subsistence allowance of suspended Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Sunil Singh Jasrotia, the then Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Gandhi Nagar, from 50 per cent to 75 per cent.
According to a Government Order issued by the Home Department, the enhancement has been approved under the provisions of Article 108-A(i) of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Service Regulations, 1956.
Jasrotia has remained under suspension since November 13, 2025. As per the order, he will now be entitled to receive a 75 per cent subsistence allowance, with the enhanced amount being paid after adjusting the 50 per cent allowance already disbursed from the date of his suspension.
The revised allowance will take effect retrospectively from the date of suspension, ensuring payment of the differential amount in accordance with the applicable service regulations.
The government’s decision has been issued as an administrative order under the relevant provisions governing the service conditions and financial entitlements of suspended government employees in Jammu and Kashmir.
