SRINAGAR, AUGUST 09, 2026 : Police in Baramulla district on Sunday attached property valued at nearly ₹70 lakh in connection with a terror-related case dating back to 2008.
According to a police official, legal action was taken in the militancy-linked case following a court order, resulting in the attachment of property valued at ₹69.82 lakh.
🏠 12-Kanal Land Attached
The attached property comprises approximately 12 kanal (around 1.5 acres) of land belonging to accused Parvaiz Ahmad Famda, a resident of Kawhar Bala in the Chandoosa area.
Police said the property was attached as part of ongoing legal proceedings in the old militancy-related case.
⚖️ Arrest Warrant Issued Against Another Accused
The police official further said that an arrest warrant has been obtained against another accused in the case from an NIA Court in Sopore.
The latest action is part of continued legal proceedings in connection with the 2008 case.
