Jammu, October 21, 2026 : The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has prohibited examination supervisory staff from carrying mobile phones during board examination hours to ensure transparency, discipline and the smooth conduct of examinations.
According to a circular issued on October 21, 2026, all examination centre superintendents have been directed to ensure that supervisory staff deposit their mobile phones with them before the commencement of examinations.
The centre superintendents will be personally responsible for implementing the order and ensuring strict compliance at their respective examination centres.
Centre Superintendents Exempted
The Board has exempted centre superintendents from the restriction, allowing them to retain their mobile phones for official communication with JKBOSE divisional, sub-divisional and branch offices, as well as through the departmental hierarchy.
The directive aims to strengthen examination-day discipline and ensure that supervisory staff remain focused on their assigned duties without unnecessary mobile phone use.
