Jammu | October 30, 2026 :The Kashmiri Pandit Sangarash Samiti (KPSS) has called for a fair and impartial investigation into allegations involving online threat posters targeting members of the Kashmiri Pandit community, cautioning against a media trial before the facts are established.
🗣️ KPSS President Sanjay K. Tickoo stressed that allegations of online harassment and threats must be investigated fairly, warning that unverified media narratives could prejudice the inquiry, harm reputations and deepen divisions within the community.
🛡️ Security concerns cannot be ignored: Tickoo said the concerns of Prime Minister’s Package employees in the Valley should neither be dismissed nor trivialised.
⚖️ Accountability matters: KPSS questioned whether police and the administration are doing enough to identify, investigate and prevent genuine threats against Kashmiri Pandits in the Kashmir Valley.
📢 The organisation emphasised that registering a complaint or placing one individual under public scrutiny is not enough. Authorities must assess credible threats, act on intelligence and fulfil their responsibility to protect the community.
The call is for a fair investigation, responsible reporting, institutional accountability and effective protection for Kashmiri Pandits—without prejudging the allegations.
