Green City , Clean City : should be the new Mantra says Mayor Jammu
To meet the growing challenges for environment friendly, sustainable, liveable, energy positive Jammu city a meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Mayor Jammu Rajinder Sharma in conference hall of JMC.
The meeting was attended by all members of Executive Committee of JMC, officers of JMC, Urban Forestry, Pollution Control, floriculture, Smart city.
Commissioner JMC Rahul Yadav gave a detail plan about the roadmap for green city.
To allow for a greener and more sustainable vision for the future of Jammu there is a need for vision document by all the allied departments and our mantra should be green city clean city said Mayor while addressing the officers.
A threadbare discussion was held regarding exploring the ideas to work out framework for making Jammu a place with a vibrant urban forest, tree-lined streets, and lush green neighbourhoods.
Mayor directed all stakeholders to work together to create an attractive, clean Jammu to live, and to protect the natural resources.
