The biggest fashion night of 2024, Met Gala, was aced by our very own Alia Bhatt, who trumped the Garden of Time theme. Her pastel green saree by Indian couturier Sabyasachi was stunningly layered with intricate floral details, beaded elements and a 23-foot train! Adorned with a maang tikka, she won the world with her winsome smile.

Lopez brings pink to the party
Jennifer Lopez has been a delight on the red carpet for so long and she continued her streak in 2024 as well. Her Golden Globe Awards’ look was refreshing in her favouritre colour — pink. The Nicole+Felicia custom-made gown, with corseted bodice and a long train, was adorned with giant roses, and accessorised with large pink morganites on the ears and hand from Boucheron jewels.

At the Vanity Fair Oscar party, Jessica Alba pulled a silver dream in a Tamara Ralph metallic sequin gown with off-the-shoulder sleeves. The rosette buds along the plunging neckline and silhouette were the mainstay of her voluptuous look, accessorised with a champagne-coloured clutch.
Nancy creates history
India had its shining moment on the world stage when fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi showed up at Cannes Film Festival in a pink ruffled floor-length dress. She created the voluminous gown from scratch, using 1,000 metres of fabric in 30 days. Nancy created history of sorts where a self-styled social media influencer rubbed shoulders with the who’s who of the fashion world in her 20-kg dreamy gown.
Swift weaves midnight magic
Taylor Swift won 2024’s biggest music night, the Grammys, in a show-stopping black-and-white strapless Schiaparelli gown with a thigh-high slit. Black opera gloves, accessoried with custommade Lorraine Schwartz vintage watch turned into a choker, Swift carried 300 carats of Lorraine Schwartz diamonds in six chains on her necklace, each an ode to music.
