SGHMS School felicitates Samarjot for excelling in first India skating games
JAMMU: Shri Guru Harkrishan Memorial Secondary (SGHMHS) School, Simbal Morh on Saturday felicitated Samarjot Singh, tenth class student of the school for winning three gold medals in First India Skate Roller Games-2022, which were held recently in Mohali Punjab.
While giving away the special trophy to Samarjot Singh for his brilliant performance at the national skating arena, Principal of SGHMS School Balbir Singh applauded the budding player’s confidence and dexterousness for achieving this ‘insurmountable’ feat in such a young age. He congratulated the star skater for bringing laurels to UT, School and his proud parents. It is pertinent to mention that Samarjot has already proved mettle in various national skating events held across the nation in the previous years. He had bagged a bronze medal in School Games Federation of India (SGFI) nationals in Belagavi, Karnataka in the year 2019 and a Silver medal in nationals organised by Roller Skating Federation of India (RSFI) in Rohini, New Delhi in the year 2021. Speaking 0n the occasion, the outstanding player gave credit of his success to his mentor and coach Arjun Gandotra for always being supportive and helpful in all his endeavours to attain excellence in game. He said that his coach has changed the course of his life by giving meaning to his efforts by channelizing his energy which earlier was being drained due to lack of guidance.
