Judicial Officers Appointed as Member Secretaries to High Court Infrastructure Committees

JAMMU, Jun 30,2025 : In a move to enhance coordination and expedite infrastructure development across the judiciary, the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has nominated four senior judicial officers as ex-officio Member Secretaries to its Building and Infrastructure Committees.

According to the official order, Sonia Gupta, Director of the J&K Judicial Academy, has been appointed as the Member Secretary for the High Court’s Building and Infrastructure Committee.

For the Subordinate Courts Infrastructure Committees, the following appointments have been made:

  • Fayaz Ahmad Qureshi for Kashmir Province,

  • Jeewan Kumar Sharma for Jammu Province, and

  • Chemit Yurgyal for the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The appointments are intended to streamline committee operations, strengthen inter-departmental coordination, and ensure effective and timely follow-up on judicial infrastructure projects.
