New Delhi, July 29, 2025 : More than 95 lakh domestic tourists visited Jammu and Kashmir between January and June 2025, according to official data shared by Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Parliament on Monday.
In response to a query by AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi about the impact of the recent Pahalgam terror attack on tourism and local businesses, Shekhawat said no formal assessment of economic losses to tourism-dependent stakeholders in J&K has been made by the ministry.
As per data from the J&K Tourism Department, the region recorded 95,92,664 domestic tourist visits (DTVs) and 19,570 foreign tourist visits (FTVs) during the first half of 2025.

Shekhawat highlighted that the Ministry of Tourism continues to implement several schemes to promote tourism across the country, including in Jammu and Kashmir.
