JAMMU, July 30, 2025 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government has instructed all officers and officials posted in Srinagar and Jammu to attend the Independence Day celebrations on August 15 as part of their official responsibilities.
As per a circular issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the main events will be held at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar and Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu.
“No absence shall be permitted without prior approval,” the circular states.
Accordingly, Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, and Public Sector Unit heads have been asked to ensure full participation of their staff in the celebrations.
