JAMMU, August 6, 2025 : A juvenile was critically injured after being stabbed multiple times by his maternal uncle—also a juvenile—during a scuffle over filling water from a public tap near the Bus Stand in Arnia.
Both individuals, originally from Bihar, were reportedly involved in a heated argument that escalated into violence. The injured boy was initially taken to a nearby health centre and later referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for advanced treatment.
Police have arrested the accused and registered a case under FIR No. 53/2025, invoking Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for attempted murder. Further investigation is in progress.
