JAMMU, August 6, 2025: Authorities have directed police and security agencies to intensify security arrangements across Jammu in the run-up to Independence Day amid heightened threat perception, official sources said on Wednesday.
Instructions have been issued to enhance vigilance in all districts, with special focus on increased patrolling, night surveillance, and heightened alertness along the border areas, they added.
Officials emphasized the need for comprehensive security audits of vital installations and public places. The border security grid has also been asked to remain on high alert to prevent any untoward incidents.
Security agencies have been urged to remain fully prepared to ensure a peaceful and incident-free Independence Day celebration.
