AAP becoming people’s first choice in J&K: Mittal, Sinha
Public especially youth fed up with BJP’s anti-people policies: Mankotia, Tony
KATRA, Apr 15: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has become the people’s first choice in Jammu and Kashmir as its popularity can be well gauged by the fact that large numbers of people are participating in the events organized by the constituents of the party.
This was jointly stated by AAP’s Jammu Provincial Observer Pardeep Mittal and Co-observer Manish Sinha during a massive youth rally of the party organized by Sonu Thakur AAP’s Youth leader here on Friday.
The rally commenced from Nomain Police Naka and passed through various markets in the Katra, the base camp of the most revered cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi in Reasi district. Senior AAP leaders Balwant Singh Mankotia and Taranjit Singh Tony led the rally which saw unprecedented support of the people of Katra and adjoining areas especially the youth.
Observer Pardeep Mittal said that people of the UT of J&K and elsewhere in the country have understood the politics of deceit and deception of BJP which has placed the country at the crossroads of a grave economic crisis with no way left to bail out the lurching population of the country. He said that BJP leadership is best at misleading people and dividing them on the basis of religion but today the people have understood this game plan of the saffron party and that is the reason behind people embracing the AAP in huge numbers and challenging the unnecessary dogma created by the divisive party in power at the centre.
Addressing the rally, Co-observer Manish Sinha said that AAP is spreading wings in J&K and soon it will overpower divisive forces because this party has shown the country the real meaning of development as Delhi Model of governance is before everyone. He said that the unreasonable tax regime by the BJP leadership with no accountability at all has been rejected by the people of Punjab and now it is the turn of the people of J&K. He said youth today is demanding jobs, education, healthcare and other opportunities but the BJP leadership is offering them hate mongering and divisive politics besides worst ever handling of finances that has brought the country on the brink of bankruptcy and its ranking at world level has plunged to all time low, which the country never saw in its history of ups and downs.
Terming the BJP as ‘factory for producing lies’, Mankotia and Tony said that youth of the UT have fed up with the manipulated lies and concocted stories of the Saffron party. They said that under BJP’s rule it has become difficult to sustain life as fuel prices including the LPG are sky-rocketing, vegetables and fruits have gone out of the reach of even the elite leave aside the middle class or poor and rates of other essentials are also gone out of reach of common man but what this biggest party of the world has been doing is raising sky-scraper offices using public money and giving false assurances on Achhe Din.
Taking jibe on PM Narendra Modi’s upcoming rally on April 24 in Jammu, they said that BJP has been fully exposed as people have refused to participate in the rally and the ‘undeclared’ holiday has been announced in government departments to drag employees to fill up the chairs to show bogus support to the Prime Minister common man is fed up of Jumlabaazi and lies of BJP. “Besides, large numbers of migrant labourers are also expecting one day’s work on the day of the rally as workers of BJP are approaching them to be a part of rally”, they added.
Sonu Thakur asked youth to extend support to AAP to ensure real development and welfare of youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Kewal Singh and MK Yogi were also present.
