Jammu, September 16, 2025 : Security forces on Tuesday foiled an arms smuggling attempt along the International Border (IB) in the R S Pura sector of Jammu by recovering an AK assault rifle along with a magazine.
The recovery was made during a joint search operation by the Border Security Force (BSF) and local police from Arnia following specific inputs about suspicious movement in the area.
Officials confirmed that the search operation was still ongoing when the last reports were received, and further updates are awaited.
This successful operation comes amid heightened vigilance along the IB to prevent infiltration and illegal arms supply aimed at disturbing peace and security in the region.
