Srinagar, May 12,2026 : The Srinagar-based Chinar Corps on Tuesday paid heartfelt tribute to Braveheart Naib Subedar Hira Bahadur Pandey, who lost his life while performing operational duty in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
According to sources, the Army personnel died after an accidental fall during a night patrol operation in the Rafiabad area of Baramulla. However, the Army did not officially disclose the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
In an emotional message shared on X, the Chinar Corps honoured the courage, dedication and sacrifice of the soldier, stating that his service to the nation would continue to inspire generations of soldiers and citizens alike.
“Chinar Corps honours the supreme sacrifice of Braveheart Naib Subedar Hira Bahadur Pandey while on operational duty in Baramulla district. His courage and dedication will forever inspire us,” the Army said in its statement.
The Corps further expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and assured continued support for their welfare.
“Chinar Warriors salute the valour and sacrifice of the Braveheart. We stand in solidarity with the bereaved family and remain committed to their well-being,” the post added.
The sacrifice of Naib Subedar Pandey has once again highlighted the risks and challenges faced by security forces while safeguarding the region under difficult operational conditions.
