Jammu, September 25, 2025 : Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected villages in Kathua district and interacted with families who lost their homes in the calamity, officials said.
The Chief Minister also chaired a meeting with officers and directed them to ensure immediate relief measures for the affected population.
After the survey, he visited Duggain village of Billawar, where several houses were damaged due to flooding, and assured residents of all possible assistance. Later, he held a review meeting with the district administration to oversee relief efforts.
Abdullah is also scheduled to visit Mahore area of Reasi district to assess the damage caused by flash floods.
