JAMMU, March 3, 2026 : Several delegations and individuals called on Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the Public Outreach Office Raabita in Jammu, raising a range of public, developmental, and sector-specific issues.
Civil Society & Political Representatives
Former Minister Raman Bhalla, accompanied by members of civil society, highlighted welfare-related concerns and sought sustained policy attention to address pending matters and ensure equitable development.
Former Minister Jagjiwan Lal also met the Chief Minister and discussed public issues concerning his constituency and the broader region.
Former Cabinet Minister Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with a delegation from Katra, apprised the CM of matters of public importance related to their area.
Education & Industry Focus
A delegation led by Dr. Parveen Akhter Lone, Principal of IG Government Dental College, Jammu, briefed the Chief Minister about an upcoming national-level academic event and its importance for advancing dental education and research in the region.
Another delegation headed by Dr. M. A. Alim, Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) J&K chapter, discussed industrial growth, investment promotion, and employment generation, seeking continued government support to strengthen the industrial ecosystem.
Trade & Sports Representation
President of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Jammu, Arun Gupta, along with members, raised issues concerning trade, industry, and procedural bottlenecks affecting businesses in the region.
A delegation of sportspersons selected under SO-12 (Outstanding Sportspersons) also met the Chief Minister to express gratitude for recognition and public service opportunities. The CM congratulated them and encouraged continued excellence.
CM Assures Responsive Governance
The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to all deputations and assured that genuine concerns would be addressed on priority. He reiterated that his government remains accessible and responsive to public representatives, professional bodies, industry leaders, and citizens, emphasizing that constructive dialogue will continue to guide policymaking in the larger interest of Jammu and Kashmir.
