JAMMU, April 23, 2026 : In a strong action against drug trafficking, the administration on Thursday demolished three houses belonging to alleged drug peddlers in the Rajiv Nagar area.
Amid heavy deployment of police and CRPF personnel, authorities razed structures reportedly built using proceeds from illegal drug trade. Officials said the कार्रवाई is part of an ongoing campaign targeting notorious drug networks in the region.
A senior official stated that several accused peddlers have been identified and are currently absconding, adding that similar drives were conducted in the area in recent months.
Emphasizing the impact of drugs on society, officials said such activities are harming youth and communities, and reaffirmed efforts to engage young people in sports and positive initiatives.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to continue strict action against drug peddlers and dismantle their financial assets.
