SRINAGAR, April 22, 2026 : In a significant action against drug trafficking, police in Shopian district on Wednesday attached a double-storey residential property valued at ₹31.65 lakh, officials said.

According to a police spokesperson, the property belongs to Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, a resident of Vishroo Payeen Keller in south Kashmir. Investigations revealed that the house was allegedly acquired through proceeds generated from the illegal trade of drugs and narcotics.

The attachment was carried out in connection with an FIR registered at Keller Police Station, as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the financial networks supporting drug trafficking in the region.
