JAMMU: Monday, May 02: Today Deputy Mayor Adv. Purnima Sharma flagged off bus service for Sukrala Mata temple from Jammu East ward no. 01.
Speaking during the occasion, Deputy Mayor Adv. Purnima Sharma said that today with the blessings of goddess Sukrala, she has flagged off a bus service from ward no. 01, which people and devotees can use as a means of convience to visit the Sukrala Mata temple.
She further said that every day the bus can be boarded from its starting point i e. Atal Ji Chowk in ward no. 01 at 7 A.M. and from there it will reach Sukrala Mata Temple while covering the route of Bajalta, Surindar and Mansar and will reach back by 5:00 P.M. at the Atal Ji Chowk completing the religious yatra.
“It is a step to encourage the religious tourism in J&K, as the public and devotees of Maa Sukrala can easily board the bus during the morning at 7P.M. and do their rituals at the temple and can be back by 5 P.M. in the evening, making their commute much easier”, She said.
Deputy Mayor appealed to the government to devote JKSRTC buses for such religious places as it will prove to be a great step in promoting the religious tourism as well as tourism in J&K.
Sh. Naresh Abrol, Sh. Gopal Sanotra, Sh. Gopal Magotra, Sh. Vijay Kumar, Smt. Sunita Wazir, Smt. Anuradha Sharma, Sh. Vinod Kumar and other prominent citizens of the area were also present.
