SRINAGAR, November 4, 2025 : Six months after the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives, film shooting has resumed in the Valley — marking a positive step for Kashmir’s tourism and film revival.
A Telugu film crew, led by director Vimal Krishna, known for “Jessie” and “Ladies & Gentleman”, has started filming at the scenic Pahalgam resort in Anantnag district, the same area hit by the April 22 attack.
“Kashmir is 100% safe. We feel completely secure and deeply welcomed,” Krishna told reporters, adding that the team was “treated like family” by locals, security forces, and officials.
The filmmaker said Kashmir’s unparalleled beauty drew him to shoot here.
“We came for a recce in July and faced no problem. I hope more filmmakers and tourists come to experience the Valley’s warmth,” he said.
After wrapping up the Pahalgam schedule, the crew plans to continue shooting in Srinagar.
