JAMMU, November 4, 2025 : Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a high-level review meeting to assess progress on major National Highways Logistics Management Limited (NHLML) projects in Jammu and Kashmir, including the ropeway network under Parvatmala Scheme, the Inter-Modal Station (IMS) at Katra, and the Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Jammu.
Dulloo emphasized that these projects will revolutionize connectivity, logistics, and tourism across the Union Territory.
Officials informed that bids have been invited for DPRs of seven ropeway projects — Sonmarg–Thajwas, Dodhpathri–Diskhal, Bhaderwah–Seojhdar, Baltal–Amarnath, Pahalgam–Amarnath, Nasri Tunnel–Sanasar, and Shankaracharya Ropeway.
The IMS Katra project, catering to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrims, aims to seamlessly integrate multiple transport modes for improved passenger convenience. The Chief Secretary called for swift resolution of pending financial and administrative issues.
On the MMLP Jammu, Dulloo directed departments to finalize land allocation and expedite DPR work, noting that NHLML’s financial model is under review by the Industries Department.
Reiterating the UT government’s commitment, Dulloo said,
“These projects are vital for J&K’s socio-economic transformation, enhancing last-mile connectivity and boosting tourism and trade.”
