Srinagar, June 3, 2026 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday clarified that Dachigam National Park remains fully open to visitors, dismissing reports suggesting that restrictions had been imposed on public entry to the park.
In an official statement, a Government spokesperson said the clarification was issued in response to claims circulating on various platforms regarding alleged restrictions on access to Dachigam National Park on June 3, 2026.
The spokesperson categorically stated that no restrictions have been imposed by the Government and that entry to the National Park continues as per the established procedures.
“It is clarified that entry for all visitors to Dachigam National Park remains completely open as per the usual procedure. No restrictions have been imposed by the Government regarding entry to the park for today, June 3,” the spokesperson said.
The clarification comes amid widespread speculation and unverified reports concerning access to the popular wildlife reserve located on the outskirts of Srinagar.
Reassuring visitors and nature enthusiasts, the Government urged the public to rely only on official information and avoid being misled by rumours or unverified news circulating on social media and other platforms.
“The public is advised to follow standard procedures for their visit and not to pay heed to unverified news,” the spokesperson added.
Dachigam National Park, known for its rich biodiversity and as the natural habitat of the endangered Hangul deer, continues to welcome tourists, wildlife enthusiasts and local visitors without any special restrictions.
