Srinagar, July 1, 2025: Jammu and Kashmir Police have registered a case against Shivam Mittal, a resident of Dwarka Puri, Haryana, for allegedly using a forged Amarnath Yatra registration card to bypass security checks at Baltal in Ganderbal district.
According to a police spokesperson, Mittal fraudulently obtained the fake card and attempted to mislead security personnel, thereby evading mandatory verification procedures for the pilgrimage.
A formal FIR has been registered, and a detailed investigation is underway.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to maintaining strict security protocols to ensure the safety of all pilgrims.
