Baramulla, July 29, 2025 : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today attended Kashur Riwaaj 2025, a grand celebration of Kashmiri culture held in Baramulla. Addressing thousands of attendees, the LG congratulated 20,000 youth of Baramulla for setting a world record in Ladishah and calligraphy performances.

“This record-breaking feat is a symbol of cultural pride and unity. It will inspire people to reconnect with their roots and values,” he said, praising the Indian Army and the District Administration for organizing the event.

The LG highlighted the Indian Army’s role beyond national security, appreciating its efforts in preserving cultural heritage and empowering youth. “Unity in diversity is the strength of our nation. The Army is fostering this spirit through literature, music, art, and sports,” he said.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to youth empowerment under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Sinha said, “The hopes and dreams of our youth can only thrive in a peaceful environment. Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and separatism once robbed J&K of that peace. But today, J&K is moving ahead on the path of progress.”

He also expressed gratitude to the security forces for the success of Operation Mahadev, in which three Pakistani terrorists involved in the Pahalgam terror attack were eliminated in Dachigam forest.

Calling for unity, Sinha urged youth to rise above religious and linguistic divisions and confront elements spreading unrest. “There are those who justify terrorism and hold youth aspirations hostage. They must be unmasked,” he added.

The LG also called for collective efforts against drug abuse, encouraging society to reintegrate affected youth.
