Inter District Tournament in celebration of Press week organised by MCC showing Sports, Culture & Tourism of J&K
JAMMU, Nov 20: The ongoing Inter-district cricket tournament for all districts, is being jointly organised by the Malhotra Cricket Club, J&K at Forest Cricket Ground Stadium.
In the Knockout Tournament wherein sixteen teams from Jammu & Kashmir are taking part in the seven-day tournament.
Speaking on the occasion Mahant Rajesh ji stated that MCC resolve to support the players and their Associations. He on this occasion also outlined the series of sports events being organised in respect of the press celebrating “Press Week” the fourth pillar of democracy. He also talks about the Modiji programme– ‘My Youth My Pride’ and “Har Din Khel -Sabke Liye Khel.”
Senior leader BJP Chandhigarh prabhari Surinder Bhagat in a message to the players wished the tournament all success and pledged full support to the seven-day tourney.
Earlier, Mahant Rajesh, All Mahant Sabha General secretary & Religious Cultural and Tourism Department member in his welcome address thanked Surinder Bhagat, MCC, Rakesh ji,Ajay ji Anukul Bhagat Social Activist and Shubham Kotwal and Deepak singh Guest of Honour, Media Fraternity along with various youth for their support in organising the tournament. He also talks about where in older times Youth was engaged in stone pelting and anti-national activities, they are now leaving that behind and taking part in Sports & Cultural activities. He also ensures suitable support should be provided to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir
Malhotra Cricket Club, organiser Jammu also spoke on the occasion and encouraged the players.
Social Activist Anukul bhagat talks about more youth participation in sports and the Drug-Free Society. Shubham Kotwal and Deepak Singh State Samachar Journalist tell players about fitness and being fabulous instead of falling for Drug Traps and they both also played and showed some cricketing shot during inauguration.
