The L-G held a review meeting in Srinagar at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday on the security situation in Kashmir Division. He further directed a security audit of infrastructure projects, round-the-clock nakas at strategic points, night patrolling and area domination.
“The police must ensure robust security and intelligence grid and intensified, well-planned joint operation with the Army and other security agencies to eliminate terrorism,” he said.
The direction comes after a doctor, designer and five construction workers were killed in a horrific terror attack in the Ganderbal district.
He called for strict action against perpetrators of terrorism. “The entire terror ecosystem, including perpetrators and those aiding and abetting terrorists, requires to be completely dismantled,” Sinha added.
