Jammu, Aug 13, 2025 : The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast for heavy to very heavy rainfall across parts of Jammu division from August 13–15, particularly in Reasi, Udhampur, Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Doda, and Rajouri—mainly during night and early morning hours.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected in most areas, with chances of intense showers, lightning, and gusty winds. Some parts of Kashmir division may also receive moderate to brief intense showers during this period.
The MeT has cautioned of possible flash floods in vulnerable areas, along with landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones.
On August 16, weather is likely to turn hot and humid with brief showers in isolated spots, while August 17–19 may bring light to moderate rain in many areas and heavy rain at a few places in Jammu division.
Authorities have urged residents to avoid water bodies, riverbanks, and unstable structures during the alert period.
