JAMMU, Nov 4: National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) J&K UT president Rajesh Gupta today took a dig at Farooq Abdullah who said that Omar Abdullah will not contest election till J&K statehood restoration.
Gupta said people of J&K have already experienced the taste of inefficient Omar administration and if we get back the statehood even then we don’t need such defunct man as CM again in J&K.
NDPI Chief while addressing the party workers here lambasted BJP saying that tall promises of development, employment, progress and prosperity of the region were made with the people who were mesmerized with several other seductive slogans.
Gupta said the voters were swayed by pro-Jammu rhetoric and several glamorous slogans given by the saffron leadership to woo the masses. The gullibility of the Dogras was exploited to the full to attain the high seats of power. The spell bound people blindly reposed their faith in the BJP giving it a landslide victory from Jammu region in assembly seats as well as the parliamentary elections, he said. “Not only that, the people of the region continued to vote heavily in favour of BJP in the municipal and DDC elections as well under the hope and belief that BJP leadership would fulfill its promises sooner than later. The situation as of now has invariably grown from bad to worse under central BJP dispensation with the Jammu region having been deprived of even its nominal share in the recent past,” said Gupta.
Jyotsna Ved District Youth president and Chairperson Advocate Cell said that J&K people have chosen NDPI as an alternative of BJP and the response of public is overwhelming towards NDPI adding that the party will get at least two third majority and will form the government in J&K .
The leaders those attended the meeting were Umesh Manhas, S.Kuljeet Singh, Tilakraj, Rajiv Luthra and others
