Srinagar, July 9, 2025: The Amarnath Yatra continued smoothly on Wednesday as 16,720 more pilgrims paid obeisance at the sacred 3,880-metre high cave shrine in south Kashmir, taking the total footfall in the first week to over 1.28 lakh, officials said.

Among Wednesday’s pilgrims were approximately 12,000 men, 3,800 women, 400 security personnel, and dozens of Sadhus and Sadhvis, reflecting continued devotion and enthusiasm.

The Yatra is also boosting Kashmir’s adventure tourism, with steady inflow energizing the region’s hospitality and pilgrimage infrastructure.
