Srinagar, September 17, 2025 : Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday extended warm birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, praising his dedication and leadership that have led to a remarkable transformation in India over the past 10–11 years.
Speaking to reporters, LG Sinha highlighted the significance of the ongoing ‘Sewa Parv’ celebration, which runs from September 17 (PM Modi’s birthday) to October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti). “The Jammu and Kashmir administration is participating in this national movement with full dedication,” he said.
He elaborated that the Prime Minister’s focused approach toward fast economic development and inclusive growth has helped India emerge as the world’s fourth-largest economy. “Over 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty during this time, and India’s global prestige has significantly increased,” LG Sinha stated.
He prayed for the Prime Minister’s long and healthy life to continue serving the nation and its citizens with devotion.
In a symbolic gesture of service, LG Sinha distributed fruits to patients at the Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Hospital, Srinagar, as part of the celebrations.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also extended his birthday wishes to PM Modi via a post on X, stating:
“Wishing the Hon PM @narendramodi Sb a very happy 75th birthday. May he be blessed with good health & a long life in the service of our nation & all its citizens.”
In Srinagar’s Lal Chowk city centre, celebrations included the garlanding of a life-size cutout of PM Modi by poet Jamal Ali Karbalai (Jamal Budgami), president of the All India Modi Fans Association. Karbalai also offered sweets to the cutout in a display of admiration. Earlier, on International Pheran Day, Karbalai had honored the PM’s cutout with a traditional Kashmiri cloak.
This occasion not only celebrated the Prime Minister’s contributions but also reinforced the spirit of service and development across the region.
