Udhampur, September 20, 2025 : In a major crackdown on immoral trafficking, police in Udhampur district busted a brothel that was allegedly operating under the guise of a spa. The raid, carried out late Friday night at the Blue Lotus Spa Centre in the Barrian area, led to the arrest of seven individuals, including four women, officials said.
The Operation
Acting on a specific tip-off, a police team raided the premises located in a private building and discovered that a prostitution racket was being run under the cover of a wellness spa.
Legal Action
A case has been registered under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act at Udhampur Police Station. Authorities said further investigation is underway to identify the broader network and trace others who may be involved.
Police Statement
A police spokesperson said the operation reflects the department’s commitment to curbing illegal activities that exploit women and tarnish social values. “Such establishments will not be allowed to operate under any circumstances. Strict action will be taken against those indulging in such practices,” the spokesperson added.
