JAMMU, November 26, 2025 : In a major push to enhance asset monetisation and increase non-fare revenue, the Indian Railways has successfully conducted a mega e-auction for allotting multi-purpose stalls at key stations under the Jammu railway division. The move aims to improve passenger amenities while simultaneously supporting local economic activity.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal said the auction witnessed strong participation, resulting in stall allotments at several important stations, including Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, Pathankot Cantt, Sopore, and Anantnag.

According to Singhal, the stalls collectively are expected to generate ₹2,80,09,243 for the Railways over the next five years. He said this was the highest revenue generated from any e-auction conducted so far in the division.
