Jammu, Jan 9, 2026 : Health & Medical Education Minister Sakeena Itoo chaired a high-level meeting at the Civil Secretariat to review vacancies and recruitment referrals across J&K’s health sector.

Immediate posting in acute-shortage areas, especially peripheral and far-flung regions

Rationalisation of staff to fill specialist gaps in underserved belts

Expedite recruitment in Government Medical Colleges (GMCs) and health departments

Strengthen de-addiction services, counselling, awareness, and rehab infrastructure
