Jammu, September 3, 2025 : All government and private schools across Jammu Division will remain closed till September 5 following continuous heavy rains and a weather alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
An order issued by the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, said the decision was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff, with several areas facing the threat of landslides, flash floods, and waterlogging.
The order further directed schools to conduct online classes wherever feasible to ensure continuity of learning during the closure.
