Kathua, July 29, 2025 : Security forces launched a search operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district after a woman reported spotting three suspicious individuals in the Rajbagh area late Monday night, officials said.
A joint team comprising the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Special Operations Group (SoG) swiftly initiated the operation. Security has been heightened in the area, particularly along the highway and around the Ujh river — a known infiltration corridor from across the border.
“Combing operations are underway, and security forces are maintaining a high state of alert,” officials said, adding that local residents have been urged to remain vigilant and immediately report any unusual activity.
The search operation is ongoing.
