SRINAGAR, June 6, 2026 : In a significant crackdown on narcotics-related activities, Srinagar Police on Saturday attached properties worth approximately ₹3.5 crore belonging to two alleged drug peddlers as part of the ongoing ‘Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan’ aimed at dismantling drug trafficking networks and targeting assets allegedly acquired through proceeds of the illegal narcotics trade.

According to a police spokesperson, the action was carried out under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, reinforcing efforts to curb drug-related crimes by striking at the financial foundations of those allegedly involved in the trade.

In the first case, Nigeen Police Station attached an immovable property valued at approximately ₹1.30 crore under Section 68(F)(1) of the NDPS Act.

The attached asset comprises a double-storeyed residential house along with a parcel of land located at Habbak Crossing in Hazratbal. The property belongs to Rahil Manzoor Malla, who is alleged to be involved in narcotics-related activities.

In a separate operation, Soura Police Station attached a residential property worth approximately ₹2.20 crore under Section 68-F of the NDPS Act.

The property belongs to Adil Rashid Gudoo, a resident of Keel Khan Gali, Upper Soura, who is alleged to be involved in illicit drug trafficking.

Police said that during the course of investigations, both properties were identified as assets allegedly acquired through proceeds generated from narcotics trafficking. Following the verification process, the properties were formally attached under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act.

Officials stated that the attachment orders place strict restrictions on the properties and prohibit the owners from selling, transferring, leasing, alienating, altering, disposing of, or creating any third-party interest in the attached assets pending further legal proceedings.

The action forms part of the broader anti-drug campaign being implemented across Jammu and Kashmir, with law enforcement agencies intensifying efforts to combat the drug menace by not only arresting offenders but also targeting assets allegedly linked to illegal narcotics operations.

Police reiterated their commitment to continuing decisive action against drug trafficking networks and urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in the fight against narcotics to help build a safer and drug-free society.
