SRINAGAR, May 23, 2026 : In a significant crackdown under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan – 100 Days Campaign, Srinagar Police on Friday attached multiple immovable properties worth nearly ₹5 crore belonging to alleged drug peddlers and narcotics traffickers across Srinagar and adjoining districts.

Police said the action was carried out under various provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act as part of intensified efforts to dismantle the financial infrastructure of drug trafficking networks operating in the Valley.

Among the attached properties are residential houses belonging to Bilal Ahmad Sheikh and Aneek Ahmad Sheikh of Larbal Beerwah, Budgam, linked to FIR No. 37/2024 registered at Police Station Saddar Srinagar under the NDPS Act.

In another operation, police attached a double-storeyed residential house worth around ₹1 crore belonging to Suhaib Farooq Khan of Mini Colony Chanapora in connection with a narcotics case registered at Police Station Chanapora.

Srinagar Police also attached a three-storeyed residential house with attic at Jawahar Nagar belonging to Mohsin Ibrahim Naqash in connection with FIR No. 42/2026 registered at Police Station Saddar Srinagar under Sections 8/21 and 29 of the NDPS Act. The property is estimated to be worth around ₹1 crore.

Similarly, a three-storeyed residential house belonging to Farhan Manzoor Pandit of Kursoo Rajbagh was attached in relation to a drug trafficking case registered at Police Station Rajbagh. Officials estimated the property’s market value at nearly ₹50 lakh.

Police Station Karan Nagar also attached a double-storeyed residential house belonging to Fayaz Ahmad Rather of Ajas Bandipora in connection with an NDPS case involving Sections 8/21, 29 NDPS Act and Section 111 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

In a separate operation, Srinagar Police attached a double-storeyed house at Bakshiabad Bemina belonging to Abid Hassan Dar, linked to FIR No. 18/2022 of Police Station Batamaloo under multiple sections of the NDPS Act and IPC. The property is valued at approximately ₹1.7 crore.

Police officials stated that investigations revealed the attached properties were allegedly acquired through proceeds generated from illicit narcotics trade.

Authorities said the assets were formally attached under Sections 68-E and 68-F of the NDPS Act after completion of all legal procedures in the presence of magistrates, revenue officials and local witnesses.

Srinagar Police reiterated its commitment to eliminating the drug menace from society and warned that strict legal action, including attachment and forfeiture of illegally acquired assets, would continue against individuals involved in narcotics trafficking.

Police also appealed to the public to share information regarding drug peddling and substance abuse, assuring complete confidentiality of informants.
