INDORE, AUGUST 08, 2026 : Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on Saturday emphasised the importance of dialogue in ensuring access to justice, saying that solutions must address the specific problems faced by people and communities.
Addressing the West Zone Regional Conference on “Enhancing Access to Justice” in Indore, the CJI said that the grievances and suffering of different communities should be heard in their own languages.
“Access to justice begins with dialogue,” CJI Surya Kant said, stressing that legal assistance should be accessible, inclusive and responsive to the needs of ordinary citizens.
He also called upon volunteers associated with legal services authorities to assist victims in securing justice in a dignified and inclusive manner.
💻 TECHNOLOGY TRANSFORMING JUSTICE DELIVERY
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, while addressing the conference, said the judicial system has undergone significant transformation with the adoption of modern technology.
He highlighted initiatives such as e-filing, digital records, the “One Data-One Case” approach, virtual hearings and modern judicial management systems as important steps towards improving the efficiency and accessibility of the justice system.
Yadav also said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, new laws have been introduced to replace several colonial-era legislations.
